Hitting two or three unfamiliar AIF-C01 questions in a row can shake candidates more than it should. The panic usually costs more than the questions themselves, because one rattled stretch drags down answers that were otherwise within reach.
Two facts from the AWS exam guide help here. The exam mixes 15 unscored questions in with the 50 scored ones, and they aren't identified, so some of those odd items genuinely don't count. Scoring is also compensatory: you need to pass overall, not every section. A weak patch isn't a verdict. Unanswered questions score as incorrect and guessing carries no penalty, so leaving a blank is the worst option.
The practical habit is triage. Eliminate options that violate a stated requirement, pick the best remaining one, flag it and move on. Return only after finishing the rest. Be extra careful with multiple response items, since every correct selection is required.
That habit only forms under pressure. Pass4Success lists AWS Certified AI Practitioner practice questions and suggests timed practice to simulate the exam environment, so you can rehearse flagging and moving on, not just recalling content.
How do you handle a question you can't place within the first 30 seconds: guess, flag, or stall?
