Dark tiger striped seeds are often assumed to be higher quality or more indica, and pale small ones get dismissed as immature, but neither idea holds up for sativas. Plenty of landrace sativa lines naturally produce tiny, light coloured seeds that germinate perfectly well. There is a photo set on https://hazesativaseeds.com showing mature seeds from a dozen different sativa strains side by side, and the variation is striking. Judge a seed by the breeder and the storage, not by the shell.
