So I took my 2020 Wrangler Rubicon out to the dunes over the weekend for some proper off-roading and it was absolutely brilliant – handled everything I threw at it, never got stuck, and I was honestly so impressed with how capable it is. But now that I'm back on the road, I've noticed this weird clunking sound coming from the front axle whenever I turn the wheel, especially at low speeds, and it's definitely not something that was there before the trip. I've already hosed down the undercarriage to get all the sand off, but the noise is still there and I'm worried I might have damaged something in the front diff or maybe the steering components got stressed from all the bouncing around. I'm not really sure if this is something serious that needs immediate attention or if it's just sand stuck somewhere that will work its way out eventually, but I don't really want to take any chances with my daily driver. I was poking around online for local shops that know these vehicles and came across exoticautoservices.ae/jeep which seems to focus on Jeeps and off-road vehicles, so they might actually know what to look for. Has anyone had a similar experience after a desert trip and found it was something minor, or did it turn out to be a bigger issue? I really want to get this checked before I end up breaking down somewhere, but I also don't want to overreact and pay for a bunch of unnecessary diagnostics if it's just sand in the wrong place. Would appreciate any insights from other off-roaders who've been through this.
