Honestly this is such a headache – I went out to my 2019 F-150 this morning and the battery was completely flat, like not even a flicker from the interior lights or the door locks. The thing that really caught me off guard though was that the tailgate wouldn't open either because apparently it's electronic and needs power to release, so I couldn't even get to some tools I had stored back there that I needed for work. I managed to jump start it from my wife's car and drove around for a bit to recharge, but I know this battery is past its prime because it's been struggling on cold mornings and the auto start-stop hasn't been working properly for months. I'm working in the Business Bay area this week and really don't have time to drive across town or sit around waiting at a dealership for hours, so I'm hoping to find something nearby that can get me sorted quickly without charging me an arm and a leg. Does anyone know if there's an Affordable Ford battery service in Business Bay that can fit me in on short notice and maybe even come to the car so I don't have to waste my lunch break driving somewhere? I'm also wondering if I should just go with a standard battery or upgrade to something with more cranking amps since summers here are brutal and I don't want to be dealing with this again next year. Any advice or recommendations would be seriously appreciated because I'm already running late for a meeting and this is the last thing I needed today.
