A low minimum bet can be useful, but I do not think it should be the only thing considered. Game speed and the number of rounds matter just as much to the total amount spent. I like clear controls that show the chosen stake before every round. A fixed session budget is also helpful because it prevents the minimum bet from creating a false sense that spending cannot add up. For casual play, simple and predictable controls are usually what I value most.
