Successful players rarely consider only the immediate result of a swipe. They also predict how the board will look afterward. A move that creates a large tile may seem beneficial, but it can cause trouble if that tile blocks a row or separates two matching numbers.
Try to examine at least two or three possible moves before acting. Ask whether a merge will maintain the tile order, preserve the chosen corner, and leave enough freedom for the next turn. This habit becomes increasingly important as more high-value tiles appear.
It is also wise to avoid filling an entire row with unrelated values. When numbers cannot merge, they form barriers that limit movement across the grid. Keeping smaller tiles together helps prevent this problem and supports more efficient combinations.
