Been living in Abu Dhabi for about four years now and I swear the summer heat just eats car batteries for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My Patrol's been cranking a bit slower the last few mornings and I've got a feeling it's about to give up the ghost on me. Last time I just went to the first place I saw in Musaffah and I'm not sure I got the best deal or even the right battery for a big 4x4 that sees a lot of desert action. I was reading online about the difference between normal batteries and the heavy-duty ones and it got me thinking I should probably be a bit more careful this time. Heard from a friend that finding a genuine Amaron car battery in Musaffah is a safe bet because they seem to hold up better in the heat, especially for bigger engines . Has anyone else had good or bad experiences with specific shops around the industrial area? I don't mind paying a bit extra for something reliable that's going to last more than 18 months, just want to make sure I'm not getting a fake or something that's been sitting on a shelf for years. Any tips on what to look out for or which dealers are straight-shooters would be awesome.
