So I had a proper panic moment yesterday evening – finished shopping at Dubai Mall, came back to the car, and absolutely nothing when I turned the key. No lights, no clicks, completely dead. And of course I was parked on one of those lower levels where it feels like you're miles from anywhere. Called a friend who said to look for mobile battery services since they come to you, which sounded way better than trying to find a jump start from a stranger. I honestly didn't even know you could get someone to come out and replace it on the spot until he mentioned it. Has anyone here actually used one of these on-site battery replacement services here in Dubai? I'm a bit skeptical about how long they take to arrive and whether they carry batteries for all car models or just the common ones. Also curious about pricing – is it way more expensive than going to a garage or pretty reasonable considering the convenience? I have an SUV so I'm worried they might not have the right battery in stock. The whole experience got me thinking I should probably have a plan for next time rather than panicking in a parking lot. I've seen a few vans around town with battery branding on them but never paid much attention until now. Would really appreciate if anyone can share their experience with these roadside services and whether they'd recommend going that route again or just calling a tow truck next time. Also do they test your alternator and everything or just swap the battery and leave? Anyway, I ended up getting help from a kind guy with jumper cables but I know that's just a temporary fix so I'll need to sort this properly in the next day or two. If anyone can point me toward a reliable company that does this sort of thing I'd be grateful – I found the Sayara Battery roadside team mentioned on a site earlier but would love some real user feedback before I call anyone.
