I'm starting to get really annoyed with this persistent clunking noise coming from the front end of my 2017 Cherokee whenever I go over even the smallest bump or pothole – it's not a sharp metallic sound, more like a dull thud that seems to come from the driver's side, and it's been getting progressively worse over the last few weeks. I've already had the sway bar links replaced by a general garage near my office because they said that was the issue, but the noise is still there which means they either misdiagnosed it or there's something else going on like worn control arm bushings or maybe a failing ball joint. I'm based near the Khalifa City area and I really need to find a workshop that actually specializes in Jeep suspension systems rather than just a general mechanic who guesses at the problem. I've been doing some research and apparently this Jeep suspension repair workshop covers Khalifa City and has a decent reputation for actually diagnosing issues properly rather than just replacing parts at random until the noise goes away. What I really want is someone who will put the car on a lift, properly inspect all the suspension components, and tell me exactly what's worn out so I can make an informed decision about what needs to be replaced. I'm also a bit concerned about safety because I do a fair bit of highway driving and if a ball joint or tie rod end fails at speed, that could be really dangerous. Has anyone here had a similar clunking issue on their Cherokee and found out what the root cause was? I'd also love to know roughly what I should expect to pay for a proper suspension inspection and potential repair because I have no idea if I'm looking at a few hundred dirhams or a few thousand. Any recommendations for a workshop in the Khalifa City area that won't mess me around would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.
